Goals

The short term goals

To continue to provide teaching and ongoing clinical training and resources to health professionals in institutions across Vietnam about aspects of Speech-language Therapy including the management of cleft conditions, vocal fold dysfunction, head and neck cancer and autism.

To work together with other organisations to lend support to projects and courses that promote Speech-language Therapy in Vietnam, such as the provision of teaching, clinical training and the supply and creation of textbooks and other educational resources.

The long term goals

To provide ongoing assistance in the form of knowledge, clinical skills, curriculum development and financial support to enable the progression of the postgraduate training course into a fulltime undergraduate Degree course in Ho Chi Minh City.

To address the large skill deficit in the management of communication and swallowing disabilities throughout Vietnam, through the provision of ongoing knowledge and clinical expertise and resources, the large skill deficit in the management of communication and swallowing disabilities throughout Vietnam will be addressed.

To assist in the establishment of other areas of Allied Health Care in Vietnam, such as Occupational Therapy.
