New professional association: The Speech Therapy Club

We are working hard to support the 33 graduates who have now received official government approval to form Vietnam’s first professional group of speech therapists: this is known as the Speech Therapy Club.

We assist the Speech Therapy Club to provide professional development opportunities, run courses, conduct mentoring programs and create opportunities to attend additional training and conferences both within and outside Vietnam.

The Speech Therapy Club meets every month, and its stated mission is to achieve recognition and support professional development of speech therapy in the most comprehensive way, offering benefit for people with communication and swallowing disorders, their families and communities.

Mr Le Khanh Dien from Anh Binh Hospital in HCMC was elected president and there are 6 elected committee members, representing different regions in Vietnam.
