Students learn Voice and Voice Disorders for their Masters

Recently volunteer lecturer Dr Cate Madill taught ‘Voice and Voice Disorders’ for the Master in Rehabilitation Techniques with specialization in Speech and Language Therapy (MSALT) at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy (UMP) in Ho Chi Minh City. Cate recounted:

“It was my great pleasure and privilege to teach the first subject of the inaugural MSALT in Vietnam. It is an amazing achievement to have established this course and the students were excited to get started. Their engagement, interest and enthusiasm was inspirational. They demonstrated a high level of academic performance throughout the 2 weeks and were able to contribute to assessment and treatment of 2 patients during the classes.

I felt warmly welcomed and treated to wonderful hospitality during my time in HCMC. My thanks to the students, the staff at the MCNV and Trinh Foundation for the opportunity to be a part of a terrific initiative for the people of Vietnam.”
