TFA directors visit Viet Nam

TFA Directors have just returned from a visit to Viet Nam, where there are more exciting developments underway to grow the Speech Therapy services!
Here is some news:

  • University of Pham Ngoc Thach (UPNT) and TFA Directors met together, chaired by the University Rector Professor Ngoc Dung (see the photo above).
  • Refurbishment is underway in a building at UPNT which will house the Trinh funded new Speech Therapy clinic. This clinic will not only be the clinical training site for the new Bachelors program but it will also be used in the interim for the graduate professional development program and other workshops provided by our volunteers.
  • Simone Maffescioni has been working on the program for over 2 years and continues in her role as Program Coordinator in the speech therapy office at UPNT while we await the arrival of Pip Greathead who has accepted an 18 month volunteer position through our new partners Scope Global.

More from the trip will be posted soon
