Now that Bachelor SALT students at Da Nang University of Medical Technology & Pharmacy (DUMTP) have completed their first semester of SALT-specific subjects, they are preparing for their first clinical placement. There is great excitement in the classroom! Ms Sarah Day, Australian Volunteer, recently taught the subject Introduction to Clinical Placement to students and shared with them about what to expect during their clinical education component of the course. Students are practising their observational, reflection and feedback skills with their peers before they attend Observational Clinical Placement once classes are complete. Students will attend two weeks of clinical placement at two Da Nang Hospitals – The Women’s and Children’s Hospital and The Rehabilitation Hospital. It is wonderful to have the support of these partnering hospitals to ensure students have the opportunity to learn new skills in clinical practice.
