Bachelor students attending the SALT course at Da Nang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy recently completed observational clinical placements at local paediatric hospital-based clinics. As a part of their clinical placement experiences, students were able to engage further in their workplace learning opportunity by joining a peer learning group each afternoon of placement. Peer groups met with their allocated clinical educator from DUMTP and engaged together in reflective practice activities and clinical reasoning conversations. Peer groups also worked toward presenting their first group oral presentations based on clinical placement experiences, which will be shared with the class in the coming weeks. Students enjoyed engaging in this style of learning with their clinical educators, and it is hoped that students will be able to use this model of learning as a base for future clinical placement learning.
