Co-authored by TFA Co-Founder Sue Woodward and longtime volunteer Janella Christie, A Way with Words is a remarkable publication documenting the journey to develop the profession of Speech and Language Therapy (SALT) in Vietnam.

Featuring a foreword by Dr Debbie Sell OBE, the book provides the first chronological and inclusive account of the collaborative efforts that have helped establish and strengthen the profession in Vietnam.

The publication also acknowledges the contributions of more than 150 TFA academic and clinical international volunteers who supported SALT development activities between 2009 and 2023. Their collective efforts, alongside those of Vietnamese partners and communities, have played an important role in improving communication and swallowing services across Vietnam.
